David “Poppy” Bird was loved by many. He is survived by his loving wife Pam, his daughter Diana and his son Dan, his son-in-law, Joe, and daughter-in-law Jen. One of his greatest loves was being Poppy to his five grandchildren, Connor, Griffin, Riley, Logan, and Miles.
He grew up in Endicott NY, survived by six brothers and sisters, Jack, Piggy (or Pig as affectionally named by Poppy), Mary, Kevin, Keith, Bobbi Jo and their wonderful spouses and children.
His life’s work was building a successful engraving business, which he continued to operate until his final moments. He was the epitome of success and grit. A great example for all. One of his favorite quotes was “If it was easy, anyone could do it”.
He loved traveling and is probably riding a bike in the halls of heaven.
He will be forever missed.
